$40 Million Awarded in Grants and Scholarships through the Community Foundation of Macon County since 2000

The Foundation stewards more than 370 individual funds and a total of $53 million in assets

A significant milestone was realized this month as The Community Foundation of Macon County (CFMC) reached a total of $40 million in giving to Macon County nonprofits and beyond since its inception 22 years ago

“As the Community Foundation reflects on two decades of grantmaking and reaching this $40 million milestone, our team knows we couldn’t have accomplished this without the generosity of our donors, community partners and the visionary efforts of our board,” says Natalie Beck, CFMC President. “Thousands of grants have filtered through our doors, impacting organizations working tirelessly on a broad range of needs.”

“We set out to make giving convenient and cost-effective,” Beck continued. “We promote and facilitate giving with confidence and connect generosity with need.”

Currently, the Foundation stewards more than 370 individual funds – many named in honor or memory of an individual couple or family – and a total of $53 million in assets. The Community Foundation of Macon County is among the eight largest community foundations in Illinois.
