Tech Go Camp

The $10,000 Impact100 Grant to TECH GO camp provides Macon County students the opportunity to learn about manufacturing, robotics, 3-D printing, drones, and automation through experience hands-on and computer-based learning.

TECH GO involves over 100 middle and high school students throughout Macon County. TECH GO camp provides students the opportunity to learn about manufacturing, robotics, 3-D printing, drones, and automation through experience hands-on and computer-based learning. TECH GO camp is held over a four-week period in June and July. Although the program has the capacity on campus to grow, student transportation is providing a barrier that impacts participant enrollment. By removing the barrier of transportation, the program will be able to provide access to experiencing technology utilized in the local manufacturing environment and on the Richland campus to more students. The goal of this program is to increase by 33% the number of students who participate and benefit from this camp and increase workplace site visits to six.
