Brandon Embry

Brandon Embry received the Carl and Kathryn Brink Scholarship

Scholarship/Grant Received: Carl and Kathryn Brink Scholarship.

Brandon graduated from Eisenhower High School in 2019.

“I would like to sincerely thank you for your generous gifting of the Carl and Kathryn Brink Scholarship. I was and still am extremely grateful to be able to receive this scholarship in order to attend Millikin in the coming years. During these tough times, I have found myself even more grateful for opportunities as large as this being presented to me. I hope to be able to demonstrate my true academic talents throughout my time at Millikin and this scholarship is making it possible. Since last year, a lot has changed for me. I have now been hired with Decatur Public Schools in the I.T. department where I assist with the devices of students and staff. This has been a job that I have truly enjoyed, and I see it as a gateway to my future career. Also, in the past year, I was able to get straight A’s both semesters putting me on the Dean’s List with Honors. Moving into next school year, I hope to continue this trend and keep straight A’s. This scholarship helped make Millikin possible for me. Without this scholarship, I would not have been able to afford the complete amount for the cost of tuition. For that, I am eternally grateful. Thank you for believing in my abilities and motivating my pursuit of education.”

Where Are They Now?
