TECH GO Camp

The $10,000 Impact100 Grant to TECH GO camp provides Macon County students the opportunity to learn about manufacturing, robotics, 3-D printing, drones, and automation through experience hands-on and computer-based learning.

Mikayla Jackson, chair of the Young Leaders in Action

Mikayla Jackson, chair of the Young Leaders in Action (YLIA) community impact group, is an example of the high-energy, goal-focused, high school student members of this new organization facilitated by The Community Foundation of Macon County.

STARR (School for Therapeutic and Recreational Riding)

The $10,000 Impact100 Grant Program will assist with the maintenance of three horses that provide regular hippotherapy to 22 children within Macon County.

Erica Besser, Mt. Zion High School class 2017, received the Decatur Foundry Scholarship.

Kids Club of Decatur

Kids Club is a new organization that invites families to experience new activities and expand their knowledge base through experiences that their living circumstances do not otherwise provide. The $5,000 Impact100 Grant awarded will help empower families with job training and money management skills.

Evan Hall

Evan Hall, Warrensburg-Latham High School class 2011, received the Golden K. Scholarship.

South Shores Elementary Chess Team

Placing in the top 25 at nationals, South Shores Elementary Chess Team consists of mostly low-income Decatur Public School students. They were awarded $10,000 from the Impact100 Grant to help them continue to compete in national competitions.
