Young Leaders in Action Tour Tate & Lyle
YLIA members given opportunity to learn about philanthropy, entrepreneurship and the importance of never giving up on a dream.
The Young Leaders in Action participated in a VIP tour of Tate & Lyle's "Castle in the Cornfield" landmark located in Decatur, Illinois. Prior to being acquired by Tate & Lyle this building was the headquarters for A.E. Staley Manufacturing Company. A.E. Staley left a big impression on Decatur through both his corporation and philanthropy to Macon County.
The behind the scenes tour was led by Julie Staley and Tate & Lyle's Jennifer Walker and Lori Donley and allowed for YLIA members to learn about our shared history as a community, the Staley family and their philanthropic spirit, entrepreneurship, international commerce, and future career opportunities available to them.
