Three Local Professionals Attain National Certification
To Help Individuals and Families Plan Their Legacy of Giving
Three team members of The Community Foundation of Macon County have earned the Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy (CAP) professional designation: Vice President Missy Batman, CEO Natalie Beck and Director of Financial Services Chasity Casey, Director of Financial Services. Each earned the designation by completing three master level’s courses in philanthropic studies and six hours of rigorous, supervised written examinations through the Richard D. Irwin Graduate School of The American College of Financial Services, King of Prussia, PA.
A CAP designation is relatively rare, with just over 2,400 individuals awarded this certification since 2003, according to The American College of Financial Services. The designation is accepted as the mark of an advisor or gift planner committed to helping those who want to give wisely and well, Beck says, noting that CAP designees must recertify this commitment annually.
“The knowledge our CFMC team gained through the CAP program will improve our ability to partner with our donors in thoughtful, personal and strategic discussions about what causes matter most to them,” says Beck. “It is our privilege to assist people at points in their lives when they are considering important life decisions about their legacy and how to maximize the positive impact of their charitable giving on our community.”
