Sarah Dexter, MacArthur High School Class of 2009, received the Susan & Lloyd Swanson Memorial Scholarship toward her undergraduate degree at University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.

"This scholarship may mean more now than it did even at the time of receiving it," Sarah says. "Every investment in education makes a difference. Not only was the monetary amount impactful, but also the acknowledgement that someone else thought I could succeed in college and help create positive change in the world around me."
Sarah is an Admissions and Recruitment Specialist at the Brown School at Washington University, St. Louis.
