Jennifer Ross and Desir'ee Wright Join The Community Foundation of Macon County

Macon County – Jennifer Ross and Desir’ee Wright both of Decatur, IL joined The Community Foundation of Macon County (CFMC) staff, effective April 17. Ross will serve as the CFMC Office Assistant. In this role, Ross is responsible for everyday operations of the office including the process of donor giving. Wright will serve as the CFMC Community Engagement Coordinator. In this role, Wright will be responsible for assisting with scholarships, Macon County Legacy and other special program initiatives.

“Jennifer and Desir’ee have a deep passion for serving and helping others,” says CFMC President, Natalie Beck. “They both bring a wealth of knowledge to the Foundation that will allow us to better serve our donors and our community.”

Previously, Ross spent 15 years in the administration and customer service field. Most recently, Ross worked at Decatur Memorial Hospital in an administrative role. Ross earned her Medical Assistant certification from Midwest Technical Institute. Ross currently lives in Decatur, IL with her husband and two sons.

Previously, Wright spent fifteen years in public safety emergency communications. In that role, she became nationally recognized as an Emergency Numbers Professional and a Registered Public Safety Leader. In addition to her role at the CFMC, Wright also serves as assistant coordinator for The Jerry Dawson Civic Leadership Institute, working as a program liaison with Decatur Public Schools specifically on healthcare and public safety pillars. Wright is currently pursuing her associate degree in communication at Richland Community College and lives in Decatur, IL with her two sons.
