| 60" Fletcher Mat Cutter We use this for our YOUNG ARTISTS SHOWCASE exhibit each fall to cut foam core and matt board to mount and matt work of over 100 works of art for our student exhibit. The one that is currently being used is 'tempermental' and does not cut with ease. |

| Arts in Education Spring Exhibit A program for high schoolers. This program is to highlight the art programs of our area schools and to bring this community of artists together. We are able to provide ample space for up to 18 schools/groups to exhibit 30 pieces of artwork. Teachers or group leaders may submit the student artwork. The arts should be part of a well-rounded education. Many teachers applaud and encourage the continuation of exhibit opportunities like this. Funds are applied to the purchase of 4x6 foot cardboard on which to mount the artwork. We usually need 30 pieces. Financial awards along with ribbons are presented at the reception. |

| Assistance with October National Exhibit OCTOBER NATIONAL is a professional exhibit of work by artists from around the United States. A prospectus is prepared and sent out as well as marketing on social media and an internet group for this purpose. Although a greater number of applications come in, only about 40 - 50 pieces are chosen (depending on size or if they are 3D) for display in the Madden Arts Center’s Anne Lloyd Gallery. The arts strengthen our communities and bring people together. The First Friday receptions are well attended. Funds are used for printing, marketing, administration and awards. Cash awards are imperative to draw entries from across the country. This broadens our view of what is being done outside of Decatur in other areas. |

| Young Artists Showcase YOUNG ARTISTS SHOWCASE is a program for 5th - 8th grade students. Decatur students and those from surrounding rural communities are eligible to submit work. Individuals or students may submit. By providing this exhibit opportunity and recognition we are playing a part in sparking the creativity and innovation young people need not only for their well-being but in their future. Businesses want creative people. Funds are used to mount, mat and professionally present their artwork in a professional gallery. They are provided with a reception and awards with their names printed in a program. Many smiling faces appear with their artwork on First Friday! |
