Foundation Directory Online
Macon County Legacy members have access to the nation's leading online resource for funding research.

The Foundation Directory Online is a useful tool for finding potential sources of funding for projects. It is one of the foremost resources for finding information on philanthropic organizations. In the Foundation Directory Online you can search for:
- Grantmakers - organizations that provide grant funding: over 100,000 organizations are in the Directory
- Information on companies that provide grants: over 4,000 sponsoring companies
- Specific grant opportunities: over 2.4 million recently awarded grants
- 990 tax forms for these organizations: over 700,000 recently filed IRS Forms 990 and 990-PF
This information can be used to help you locate sources of funding for your own projects and find information on how companies and philanthropic organizations distribute funds.
Please note the online Foundation Directory is only accessible while at The Community Foundation of Macon County's office.
The online resource library is open Tuesday-Friday (9 a.m. - 4 p.m.). To schedule your time in the FDO Resource Library, contact Rachel Moran, CFMC Director of Communications, at 217-429-3000.
